Autism Storyworld provides parenting solutions for challenging behaviour with one-on-one coaching and parent training programs to support parents of young children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

All parent coaching and training programs are conducted by autism parent coaches who have professional training in behaviour management and education. The coaches also relate from the parent's perspective with their real-life experience parenting children themselves with autism and developmental delays.

We also provide handcrafted  life skill story books, resources and other information for children to learn about everyday life skills, things we take for granted like shopping, playing, greeting people to name a few. We’ve gone through the stress of our sons not understanding what to do and why. From our real-life experiences, we wish to share our learnings with you so you can avoid the pain and stress.  We would like to contribute in making  your life a little easier and your child’s everyday life less challenging, focusing on a positive future.

Our stories are designed to involve the child. This then gets them more excited and enthusiastic about the story as well as learning the life skill. When children enjoy something, they tend to remember it better and learn from it.  That’s what our stories do, they get the child to understand different situations or tasks in their life and guide them on how to act or respond appropriately by including them in the story.

Yes they will.  The stories work because they are simple, easy to read and contain the key steps that kids need to know right now, to understand situations, tasks and events in their life.

There is no timeframe given when your child will learn the life skill from the story book because each child is unique. Considerations that need to be taken into account include the child's developmental age (not chronological age), how often the story book is read, and how often the life skill is practice, just to name a few.

Results vary from child to child depending on their individual learning needs.  Best outcomes are achieved for the child, when you follow our Guide and Helpful Info resources which are provided with every story book purchased.

The stories are created to be most useful for Pre-Kinder, Kinder, Prep and Primary (Elementary) school year levels 1 - 6, but at the end of the day the stories are appropriate according to the level of each individual child’s understanding and learnings required.

In relation to children with autism, developmental age should be taken into account and not necessarily chronological age.
